FERRY & CARGO VESSEL SCHEDULES
Traveling by ferries is an integral part of island life and essential for residents and visitors alike. Many residents commute using the ferries to travel to work, school, medical appointments, family visits, shopping and social events. Visitors who arrive by plane in St. Thomas must use the ferry to travel to St. John since there is no airport in St. John. While most of the ferries connect St. Thomas, St. John and the British Virgin Islands, there is one ferry service that provides service between St. Croix and St. Thomas.
FERRY SERVICE BETWEEN ST. JOHN AND ST. THOMAS: There are two ferry routes provided between St. Thomas and St. John, USVI. The shortest route is between Red Hook on St. Thomas and Cruz Bay on St. John and takes approximately 15 minutes. The longer ferry route runs from downtown Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas also to Cruz Bay on St. John however it is very conveniently located only 10 minutes from the St. Thomas airport, hotels in the mid to west sides of St. Thomas, it is close to shopping and cruise ship docking facilities
INTER-ISLAND CAR FERRY (BARGE) SCHEDULE

Three private companies offer daily car ferry transportation service between the Theovald Moorehead Dock and Terminal at Enighed Pond in Cruz Bay, St. John, and the Urman V. Fredericks Marine Terminal in Red Hook, St. Thomas for vehicles.

Car ferry tickets are not interchangeable between the ferry companies. Please consult with a security guard at the dock to confirm which ferry you are ticketed to board.

Travelers are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure time. Passengers must get in line and will be allowed to board the car ferry on a first-come/first-load basis, regardless of prior reservations made. We thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Ferry passengers are required to wear masks onboard, effective May 4, 2020.

The ferry operates on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

TIPS FOR TRVAVEL:

Arrive 30 minutes before departure - check-in ends 15 mins before departure

Tickets are $60 one way - $30 for children under two years. One small bag + personal item

Coast Guard requires ID or birth papers for all passengers including children

To change or cancel a ticket, you must have provided a valid email address during the booking process and click 'Manage this booking' in the confirmation email at least one hour before departure. No-shows are not eligible for a refund or trip credit. If you are having technical issues while changing your ticket, email info@qe4ferry.com.
