The Virgin Islands Port Authority informs the public of two upcoming construction projects at the Ann E. Abramson Marine Facility in Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. Construction work is scheduled to begin on February 7, 2023, and both projects are expected to be completed within eight (8) months. Contractors have already begun to mobilize and secure the sites in preparation for the February start date.
The scope of work for these projects includes:
the replacement of the existing steel blowout panels at the base of the approach bridge, and
the construction of a new tender landing/service pier on the south side of the main pier.
During the construction period, there may be some inconveniences to the community such as noise and facility access. We will make every effort to minimize disruptions and complete the project as quickly as possible.
